Music blasted, feet stomped, and the crowd roared as Abra High School held its Dance Palooza on Friday, January 16.
Grade 9 and Grade 10 students took center stage to show off what they had learned in MAPEH class; and they did not disappoint.
In the Grade 9 Festival Dance Contest, students showcased vibrant routines inspired by culture and tradition. The winners were:
๐Ÿฅ‡ 1st Place โ€“ 9 Godwit
๐Ÿฅˆ 2nd Place โ€“ 9 Stork
๐Ÿฅ‰ 3rd Place โ€“ 9 Rutherford
The Grade 10 Hip Hop contestants brought their A-game, with these sections rising to the top:
๐Ÿฅ‡ 1st โ€“ 10 Oriole
๐Ÿฅˆ 2nd โ€“ 10 Newton
๐Ÿฅ‰ 3rd โ€“ 10 Einstein
Thanks to the MAPEH Officer-in-Charge Amilcare Panelo and teachers, the event ran smoothly, giving students a chance to shine and enjoy a day full of music and movement.
With full support from the AHS Principal Miss Jasmine P. Bringas, EdD, Dance Palooza once again proved that performance tasks can be both meaningful and exciting. Events like this inspire students to express themselves, work together, and shine on and off the stage.
